George and Val Shultz with their new Toyota 4Runner from MATS"The Toyota 4Runner that you purchased for us has arrived in Ndu! We thank the Lord for this vehicle and thank you for all your work to find this good vehicle for us and have it shipped to Cameroon. It rides and looks great! My wife, Val, drove the car from the capital city, Yaounde, to our home in Ndu and she said it did very well on the bad roads. This car will really help us in our ministry to train Cameroonians to translate the Bible into their own languages. I plan to travel to different small villages to follow up my translation students after they graduate and give them coaching as they are leading Bible translation projects in their villages. So the car will help me to reach remote places to help these students. Of course, it will help us in many other ways, too. Thank you, again!"

Zindoga and Dinah with their new vehicle from MATS"Our experience with MATS reinforced our belief that success of mission work depends on partnership. The usual partnership is of financial participation, short term ministries and praying for missionaries. In our experience with MATS we realized that there were others better placed to [meet] missionary needs than the missionaries themselves. MATS had the experience to get us a vehicle best suited for our mission area of Zimbabwe at the cheapest price possible for the type of vehicle. MATS saved us time of searching the internet for cars and shippers. They followed the deal until we had the car in Zimbabwe. Communication with Tom was enjoyable. He always made us feel that we were talking to a Christian. We recommend other missionaries to talk to MATS before they get their next mission car."

Fielden and Janet with their new vehicle from MATS"I love my Toyota Land Cruiser. We recently went on a teaching trip from Swaziland, where we now live, all the way to Northwestern Uganda and back down through Rwanda and Burundi then Tanzania and Mozambique. The entire trip was about 6 weeks and we drove the Land Cruiser 8,000 miles. We didn't have any trouble at all. We now have put about 60,000 miles on it and without a speck of trouble. I've recommended your quality service to several others."

- Fielden & Janet Allison, African Christian College, Swaziland

The Thompson's with their new vehicle in the jungles of Africa"Thank you for your excellent work and documentation to help make it possible. We have had the vehicle for about two weeks and are astonished to be driving such an amazing vehicle."

- Dave & Becki Thompson, Projects Director, Bongolo Hospital, Gabon

"We have benefited from MATS' powerful ministry for about eleven years. They helped us import our first Land cruiser back when the local dealer was charging something like 12,000 US dollars more on the same vehicle. Now there is no local dealer in the country where we serve, but MATS recently helped us get a great deal on importing a second Land cruiser. The ministry of Pioneer Bible Translators in West Africa has imported I count about eleven Toyota Land cruisers through MATS and every one works hard for the kingdom of God. We have saved countless ministry dollars buying through them. In our rural village our vehicles function as bush limousine, church bus, church planting transport, agricultural development vehicle, ambulance, sand and gravel transport, livestock transport, evacuation insurance and even a hearse. I have had our cars full of people, full of groceries, full of construction materials, full of fuel drums, full of pigs, full of seedling trees, and generally full everywhere I go. Without the rugged four wheel drive, we couldn't get around in our driveway let alone evangelize the surrounding un-reached peoples. God continues to use MATS as an integral part of the evangelization of this country."

- Greg Pruett, Pioneer Bible Translators, Guinea, West Africa

"We are serving way 'down under' in the Patagonian region of Argentina, but that proved to be no obstacle to Josh Nottingham and the ministry of MATS International! Though still on the field, we needed to purchase a car for our upcoming furlough -- Josh found just the vehicle we needed, a 2002 Honda CR-V at an incredible price, low mileage (39,000 miles!) and in great shape! He very willingly helped us with the paperwork, facilitating the purchase in a very short time frame.

"We thank God for MATS International, and gladly recommend their ministry!"

The order was placed and was delivered to us directly from Japan which was a benefit as we wanted a right hand drive vehicle. It was delivered on time and to our specifications. We were pleased with the friendly and courteous service we got from the company. The bus has been a true blessing to us here in Barbados. We have worked the vehicle very hard and every Sunday morning we fill it with people for our congregation as you can see in this photo. Thanks MATS International for a job well done."

"I trust that I will be using it for many years as I do health teaching in rural villages and evangelism among the Maninka people. It is our hope that one day there will be churches among this least reached people group of over 4000 people."

image of the vehicle the carmans bought"In October of 2005, we bought this truck from another SIL member, who used your services. Thank you for the good price that you sold it to him, three years ago.

"We appreciate your ministry to us. We are very happy with our own truck and how well it has been running. We put a topper on the truck and reinforced the bed of the truck because of the heavy weights of the fuel drums and other items we carry. David, my husband is a pilot, but he had to use our truck on the bumpy dirt roads here in Cameroon. The four wheel drive is a huge benefit as well as the high clearance we have on this truck as opposed to the former truck we had. In January, David put 1000 km on it in one week with absolutely no problems, inspecting the various airstrips he uses."

- Claudia and David Carman, SIL, Cameroon

"Thank you for your faithful service to missions. We purchased a Toyota Land Cruiser through MATS back in 2008. Without that vehicle we could not do what we do in the bush of Tanzania. We praise God for your organization often as we are crossing rivers, climbing mountains and taking 800+ mile road trips to go grocery shopping. Thanks again!!"

- Stan Walker, The Christian & Missionary Alliance

"MATS has been a tremendous help to The Christian and Missionary Alliance in West Africa over the years.  The savings we have been able to obtain through their missionary discount has given us the funds needed to promote many ministry projects that otherwise may not have been started as quickly.   In some cases, MATS has saved us over 50%  of what it would have cost us to purchase a similar vehicle in country.  The order process goes smoothly and each vehicle has been very reliable and given many years of dependable service.  For the most part we have ordered mainly Toyotas and each vehicle has had to drive over extremely difficult roads.  The combination of MATS and Toyota in Africa has helped us reach nationals that otherwise may have never been able to hear the Good News!  Thank you MATS for what you are doing to help us win the peoples of West Africa for Christ!"
